Comprehensive Site Investigation Services
We are a team of professional engineers, technicians and drillers that together provide our clients with the ‘complete’ site investigation service. We are commercially focused and our objective is to provide information for design and manage risk in a cost effective and prompt way. We understand where our services fit within overall project delivery, from individual house builds to major infrastructure schemes; the ground investigation plays a key role.
The South West Geotechnical team have been operational together since the late 1980's and have a proven track record. We are proud to be used by all sectors and recently completed projects ranged from public sector infrastructure, residential, commercial, renewables, investment institutions and individual developers. These projects were completed in a wide range of environments, from greenfield and brownfield land, nearshore, coastal, quarries, earthworks and airports. Our traditional work base is within South West England, however for specialist areas, such as utility scale solar developments, we work nation-wide and abroad. The SWG team have been operational together since the late 1980s and have a proven track record.
Our in house Ground engineering consultancy, drilling rigs and UKAS accredited geotechnical laboratory enable us to deliver quality led ground investigations and geotechnical assessments.
Neil Forrow is the company owner and Director supported by Ben Ogden (Engineering), Pete Wilson (operations) and David Trowbridge (Laboratory Manager). David also manages quality assurance for the laboratory and overall business.
Relating to quality assurance, we are accredited to ISO9001 as a SSIP Worksafe Consultant, Worksafe Contractor and Constructionline CHAS compliant. We are Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) platinum members.
